12e COMPUTERDAG / 2e MSX MARATHON

Geachte lezer,

Hierbij willen wij u informeren over de 12e COMPUTERDAG en de 2e MSX MARATHON die op zaterdag 16 september 2000 zal worden gehouden.

Ook dit jaar neemt de beurs plaats in het pittoreske Bussum, in het in een voormalig schoolgebouw gevestigde Sociaal-cultureel centrum UIT-WIJK op de Dr. Schaepmanlaan 10 in BUSSUM. Het gebouw is geografisch redelijk centraal gelegen, is met het openbaar vervoer goed te bereiken (loop afstand vanaf NS-station ca. 5 minuten) en ligt bovendien op korte afstand van de snelweg A1. Het gedeelte van het gebouw dat voor de computerdag beschikbaar is bestaat uit 5 klaslokalen, een ontmoetingsruimte en een gang die op de 1e verdieping van het gebouw zijn gelegen. De totaal beschikbare vloeroppervlakte is vergelijkbaar met de op 15 april jl. gehouden beurs in Tilburg.

COMPUTERDAG
Op zaterdag 16 september 2000 van 10.00 uur tot 17.00 uur is er het vertrouwde beursgedeelte, in de vorm van de 12e COMPUTERDAG, waarbij de verkoop en demonstratie van MSX- en spelcomputerspullen, aanverwante artikelen en supplies e.d. de hoofdmoot vormt. Ook is er een vrijmarkt voor particulieren die zelf wat spelcomputer- of msx-computerspullen willen verkopen. De ruimte hiervoor is echte beperkt. Ook zullen er weer een aantal (MSX-) computergebonden tekenfilms worden vertoond op grootbeeld videoscherm.

De toegangsprijs voor de 12e computerdag bedraagt Fl. 5,-- per persoon ouder dan 6 jaar. In verband met de verlaging van de toegangsprijs van Fl. 7,50 naar Fl. 5,-- worden er geen kortingsbonnen verstrekt.

MSX MARATHON
Naast het beursgedeelte is er voor de fanatieke MSX-ers de 2e MSX MARATHON die tot 10.00 uur op zondagochtend 17 september 2000 zal voortduren. De initiatiefnemer van de MSX Marathon is Laurens Holst uit Bussum. Gebleken is dat er meerdere fanatieke MSX gebruikers zijn die aan een computerbijeenkomst van enkele uren niet genoeg hebben. Voor deze MSX-liefhebbers zal wegens groot succes ook dit jaar weer een bijeenkomst gehouden die 24 uur lang in het teken van MSX zal staan. Te beginnen met het beursgedeelte en daarna een nog nader vast te stellen MSX-programma die tot de volgende ochtend zal voortduren. Gedacht wordt aan verschillende activiteiten zoals een programmeerwedstrijd, een spelcompetitie, demonstraties van nieuwe MSX-programma's op een groot videoscherm etc. Wie nog meer ideeën heeft voor het invullen van de MSX MARATHON kan dit altijd kenbaar maken aan Laurens Holst.

De MSX Marathon zal worden afgesloten met een gezamenlijk MSX-ontbijt.
Voor degenen die "even" willen rusten zal een slaaplokaal worden ingericht (slaapzak meenemen).

De toegangsprijs voor het bezoek aan de 12e Computerdag, deelname aan de MSX MARATHON en het MSX-ontbijt bedraagt Fl. 15,00 per persoon.

STANDPLAATSEN
Een standplaats bestaat uit tafelruimte van ca. 2 meter lengte en ca. 70 cm breed, elektriciteitsaansluiting in de nabijheid, 2 stoelen en 2 standhouders-toegangsbewijzen. Het maximum aan ruimte dat per standhouder kan worden gereserveerd is vooralsnog vastgesteld op 4 standplaatsen (8 m²).
De standhuur voor een standplaats tijdens de 12e Computerdag bedraagt Fl. 35,-- per standplaats.

Indien een standhouder ook aan de MSX MARATHON wil deelnemen is daarvoor ongeacht het aantal standplaatsen wordt ingenomen Fl. 25,-- verschuldigd. Hiervoor kunnen maximaal 3 personen deelnemen aan de MSX MARATHON. Bij deelname van meer dan 3 personen is een extra bedrag van Fl. 7,50 per persoon verschuldigd.
Het voor de huur van de standplaats en deelname aan de MSX MARATHON verschuldigde bedrag dient uiterlijk 15 augustus 2000 te zijn voldaan. Mochten er naar aanleiding van deze brief nog vragen en/of wensen zijn neem dan nog even (telefonisch) contact op met de organisatie.

Dear reader,

Hereby we would like to inform you about the 12th COMPUTERDAY and the 2nd MSX MARATHON which will be held on Saturday 16 September 2000.

This year the fair once more takes place in the picturesque Bussum, in the Social-cultural centre UIT-WIJK at the Dr. Schaepmanlaan 10 in BUSSUM, located in a former school. The building is geographically quite central in Holland, can be easily reached by public transport (distance from the NS-station about 5 minutes walking), and is in addition located at a short distance from the freeway A1. The part which is available for the computerday consists out of 5 locals, a hall and a long corridor. With other words, the entire 1st floor. The total amount of available space can be compared to the fair in Tilburg held on the 15th of April last spring.

COMPUTERDAY
On Saturday 16 September 2000 from 10h to 17h the well-known fair will be held in the form of the 12th COMPUTERDAY, where the selling and demonstration of MSX-computer and game console-stuff, supplies, and such like form the principal part. However, the space for this is limited. And also this time some (MSX-) computerrelated (Manga-)animations will be showed on a large screen.

The entrance price for the 12th computerday will be Dfl. 5,-- per person older than 6 years. Because of the reduction of the entrance fee from Dfl. 7,50 to Dfl. 5,-- no reduction coupons will be provided this year.

MSX MARATHON
Besides the 'normal' fair, the 2nd MSX MARATHON will be held for the real die-hard MSX-ers, which will continue 'till 10 O'clock on Sunday 17 September. The initiator of the MSX Marathon is Laurens Holst from Bussum. it appeared that there are a lot of fanatic MSX-ers which find this computer meeting of some hours not enough. For these MSX-lovers this year will, because of dazzling success last year, once more a meeting will be held which will be 24 hours MSX. Starting with the 'normal' fair-part (the 12th Computerday), and after that a yet to be determined MSX-program which will continue until the next morning. Thought is about several activities like a programming competition, a game competition, demonstrations of new MSX-programs on a large screen, etc. Anybody with more ideas for the MSX MARATHON can tell this to Laurens Holst.

The MSX Marathon will be concluded with a joint MSX-breakfast.
For the ones who would like to rest for "a while", a sleep-sleeping local will be arranged (bring a sleeping-bag with you).

The entrance fee for the 12th Computerday, participation to the MSX MARATHON and the MSX-breakfast will be Dfl. 15,00 per person.

STANDS
A stand consists out of a table of about 2 meter length and about 70 cm width, available electricity, 2 chairs and 2 entry tickets. The maximum space which can be reserved per standkeeper is as yet set to 4 stands (8 m²).
The price for a stand during the 12th Computerday is Dfl. 35,-- per stand.

When a standkeeper also wants to join the MSX MARATHON the price is, unesteemed the number of stands, Dfl. 25,--. For this a maximum of 3 persons can take part on MSX MARATHON. When more persons want to take part, an additional Dfl. 7,50 per person is indebted.
The amount due for the stand and participation to the MSX MARATHON has to be paid at the latest on August the 15th 2000. If there are any questions and/or wishes in reference to this letter then contact the organization.
